GE HealthCare Spin-off Completed
Last year, GE announced plans to spin off its healthcare business into a stand-alone, publicly traded company. As of January 4, 2023, the process has been completed and the organization is now doing doing business as GE HealthCare.
“We are on the verge of true industry transformation as digital innovation reshapes the experience of patients and providers with an increased need for more precise, connected, and efficient care. GE HealthCare colleagues worldwide are united in our purpose to create a world where healthcare has no limits, and we look forward to delivering for providers, patients, and shareholders in the years ahead,” said Peter Arduini, President and CEO of GE HealthCare.
By operating independently GE HealthCare puts its people and resources closer to those that need it most: the patients who its entire healthcare ecosystem strives to support. As an independent entity, GE HealthCare is dedicated to providing integrated solutions, services, and data analytics to make hospitals more efficient, clinicians more effective, therapies more precise, and patients healthier and happier. Together, GE Healthcare’s Imaging, Ultrasound, Patient Care Solutions, and Pharmaceutical Diagnostics businesses help improve patient care from prevention and screening, to diagnosis, treatment, therapy, and monitoring.
The company will be maintaining its current name and the GE monogram. As further expansion occurs into connected care, the company is adopting a "GE HealthCare" wordmark that includes an uppercase "C" to emphasize Health and Care.
The new company website for GE HealthCare is www.gehealthcare.com.
