Swedish songwriters are an important part of the U.S. music industry and the interdependence between Sweden and the U.S. are crucial for the music industry. Innovation and tech are rapidly evolving and several matters must be resolved for Sweden to maintain its position.
How can Sweden lead the way in creative songwriting as well as being a leading tech-innovation country? Sweden is a music nation to be reckoned with and the contribution of the music industry to exports and the exchange with the U.S. cannot be underestimated. Sweden is also known as a tech-innovation country and seeks to be at the forefront and lead the way in how to co-innovate and create sustainable business models for the future. For instance, AI will provide possibilities and challenges that we can only see fragments of today and will have a major impact on the music industry. The music industry can, however, be disrupted if AI is not regulated in the right way, but if properly managed, it can contribute to the positive view of Sweden as a music nation and a tech-enabler.
Will Sweden take a proactive stance on tech and innovation but still respect the value of copyright and strengthen the cultural and creative industry, and the exports and jobs the industry creates?
