AmCham Welcomes Three New Interns for Fall 2024!

As we begin a new academic year, AmCham Sweden is excited to welcome our three interns for fall 2024: Alva, Jack, and Will. Each of them brings a unique background and perspective, and will aid our team across every department. You can read their bios below, and we cannot wait for you to meet them!

Alva:

My name is Alva Sundberg, and I’ve joined AmCham Sweden as a Policy Intern for the fall. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International and European Relations (MIER) at Linköping University (LiU), and this internship offers the perfect opportunity to deepen my understanding of transatlantic relations and international trade. As a policy intern, I will focus on projects across several policy areas including security strategy. I’m eager to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world setting, gain hands-on experience in policy and trade, and collaborate with professionals who are passionate about fostering international business relations.

I look forward to an exciting fall at AmCham!

Jack:

My name is Jack Fletcher, and I am a third year Economics and International Relations student at Bowdoin College in the United States. I am currently studying at the Stockholm School of Economics on a semester-long exchange program that has brought me to Sweden. At AmCham, I am working in the communications department, helping to prepare much of our written communication to members and the broader American community in Sweden. Through this internship, I am looking forward to improving my written and communication skills as well as understanding of international policy. I am also excited to engage with AmCham and participate in many of our upcoming events.

Will:

My name is William Sakmar Åberg, and I am a U.S.-Swedish dual citizen in my final year at Stockholm University studying a BSc. in International Business and Politics. I am passionate about exploring the intersections of economics, politics, and society on an international scale — something which I believe AmCham represents perfectly. My hope is that I depart from this internship with new perspectives on U.S.-Sweden relations, the transatlantic dialog, and having established lasting connections across the U.S.-Swedish business community.
